PARIS WITH NANE MILLER

To me, Paris Fashion Week is not only about fashion – it’s also an opportunity to catch up with friends that live all over the world. This past September I had lunch with my talented South American friends Nane Miller and Tigre Escobar and we decided to collaborate. We spoke to Nane about her favourite PFW shows and how she styles herself, while Tigre captured Nane in the streets of Paris wearing pieces from our Autumn/Winter collection.

How would you describe your style? And what’s important to you when picking out pieces to wear together?

My personal style, much like myself, is always evolving - and it’s hard to narrow it down to a few words. I truly enjoy getting dressed each day, and approach the process as a creative outlet, and also as quality time with myself. When picking pieces to wear together, I always want to make sure I’m feeling confident in them. I wear what feels good.

How does your style change as you go from event to event – business meeting to party, day to night?

My style is a true reflection of my mood. So unless there is a specific dress code for the occasion, I’ll pretty much just feel it out. I love a good skirt and boots moment because it translates so easily from event to event. And if I’m working, but going out after, I like to wear slip dresses with blazers. Ditch the blazer later on in the day, and add some cute earrings to go hit the dance floor.

What was your favourite show and/or look from one of the shows this Paris Fashion Week?

My favourite show this season was Chanel. I loved the asymmetric sweaters and the sequins shoes.

We see you’ve layered on our ‘Fleur’ Overcoat. What are some tips for how best to layer for autumn or colder weather?

I love the Fleur Overcoat! It’s warm enough to wear out at night with a cute top, but it’s also comfy enough to wear with a chunky knit. When layering, I always start with a tank top. If it’s really cold I’ll wear a turtleneck second, a sweater third - and perhaps another sweater as a scarf.

You’re also wearing our Vegan Leather Skirt and Pants! What do you think about them?

These are the softest most comfortable pants I’ve worn in a while! I didn’t know they were made vegan leather at first, because the feel is just so soft. Love the side details - they feel like an elevated basic, perfect for day or night.
